DEBBIE CHALLIS

Historian and Educator

Cultural historian, writer and public engagement producer and consultant working in archives, museums and libraries. I work on the ancient past in the modern world, gender politics and the impact of racist theory in British history and society during the nineteenth and early twentieth century.

I am a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and a member of the Milesian Tales Research Group and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Liverpool.

In addition, I curate exhibitions, give talks and produce in person and online public events using numerous formats, from panel discussions to stand up and art workshops. Audience led activities and engagement with old stuff is what I do!
